Item: Kowhai Pendant
This started off as a flat piece of sterling silver 0.7mm thick. I had cut out some cardboard pieces to use as templates for the petals and the kowhai leaf. Using a piercing saw and blades I cut each piece and filed them. I annealed the petals so that I could shape each one. Soldering them together was tricky but worth the patience. The top of the kowhai flower is a piece of silver that I had reticulated to give it some texture.
